Now that the brighter days of Summer are behind us, why not look at brightening your home by adorning your walls with beautiful artwork? Wall art helps to define the character of your space, and acts as an extension of your personality, so it is a good idea to choose something that you connect with and which brings you joy – whether that is the artistic style, the subject or the colour palette.

- Visiting the UK's Coastline and the Artwork it Inspires
We are blessed in the Great British Isles with miles of breathtaking coastline. So even though restrictions on International travel continue, we can still enjoy a summer break by taking advantage of the beautiful scenery we have on our shores...There are plenty of places all over the UK to spend a day hunting for wildlife, or gazing at bobbing boats, crashing waves, and quaint cottages perched on rocky waterfronts...Throughout history, many an artist has been drawn to the romantic and epic nature of the coast, and have pulled influence from the sea and shore.
- Reclaiming Your Home and Decorating Your Home Office
As we navigate our way slowly along the 'roadmap out of lockdown', and carefully welcome a select few visitors back into our homes, some of us may be finding that we now need to reconsider how we use our living accommodation ... and, indeed, how it is styled.
- Father's Day - Art, Accessories and Gift Ideas
With Father's Day (Sunday 20th June) just around the corner, now is the ideal time to start looking for that perfect present for Dad.
It wasn't until the early 1900s that Father's Day became an official holiday – with the US leading the way as one of the first nations to do so. However, it is possible that the annual celebration of fatherhood could have begun even earlier. Evidence can be traced back to 1508 and a Saint Joseph's Day marked in Catholic Europe.
- Hopes for a Summer of Countryside Shows and Equestrian Events
With the UK following the 'roadmap' out of the latest lockdown, we find ourselves feeling hopeful for the year ahead. This is especially true when considering the return of the great Motoring, Equestrian and Countryside shows and events around the country that we so sorely missed last year.
This also means that Collier & Dobson will be back out there at shows this Summer, exhibiting our latest captivating collection of sculpture, original artwork, and limited edition prints.
- New Releases - Update
As we haven't quite made it out of lockdown yet, and high street shops are still unable to open, we are extending the release period for our new limited edition prints - we will now be staggering their release from now until June.
- Art and Accessories - Mother's Day Gift Ideas
With Mother's Day (Sunday 14th March) just around the corner, now is the ideal time to start looking for that perfect present for Mum.
As we prepare to celebrate yet another Mother's Day in lockdown, we have more reason than ever to thank those special women in our life who have looked after us, homeschooled us, and supported us through these troubled times - and throughout our lives.
- Meet the Artist - Gary Walton
It is a mere 18 months since we welcomed Gary Walton to the Collier & Dobson fold in late 2019 - at the Birmingham NEC Autumnfair - and his beautiful collection of Fine art prints have fast become a big hit.
