Biography
Biography
Gill was first introduced to sculpture whilst studying at South Wilts Grammar School, Salisbury. Choosing not to go into further education, she tried several career paths, before taking up sculpture again. In 1983 Gill took her first bronzes to London where they were bought by Garrards and Asprey, and she had her first one women show in November 1984.
She now lives and works in rural Gloucestershire, along with an assortment of animals, breeding and showing American Quarter Horses - with which she has won numerous European and National championships.
Now a leader in the field of equine and wildlife sculpture, Gill’s work clearly reflects her love and working knowledge of horses. She has many major commissions to her name including the life-size bronze Motivator at Ascot Racecourse and her highly sought after work can be found in public and private collections around the world.
