The Benefits of ARTglass
Printed on 300gsm fine art paper, each print is individually signed, titled and numbered by Aaminah and supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
Mounted with an off-white over sepia double mount and supplied acetate wrapped.
The framed print is mounted as described and then framed in a 3.2cm wide moulding with a distressed painted finish. Supplied strung and ready to hang.
WHAT IS ARTGLASS?Standard picture framing glass is called float glass. This glass is used by the majority of picture framers and is perfectly acceptable for use when framing most limited edition prints but it does cause reflection and impurities in the glass cause the framed image to appear duller than intended.
To overcome these compromises we offer all our limited editions with the option of been fitted with a speciality glass called ARTglass designed to reduce reflection and improve clarity.
Unlike 'non-reflective' glass which is etched to reduce reflection but has a cloudy appearance as a result, ARTglass is coated with a high-tech film, reducing reflection whilst adding clarity.
The example shown here is an actual scan of a print framed with ARTglass in the left half of the frame and standard glass in the right half. This image has not been altered or enhanced in any way and clearly shows how ARTglass improves the clarity and vibrancy of the print. From certain viewing angles it appears that the glass is invisible.
All dimensions are Height x Width and are approximate.

“I strive to produce paintings that create smiles and laughter and that the viewer can relate to.”Aaminah Snowdon was born in 1990 in Northallerton, North Yorkshire and is a self-taught artist. Her avid interest in art started at the age of 7 when she won a school competition by painting a rather surreal whale blowing out multi-coloured water spouts.
In 2012, after earning herself a 1st class honours degree in Ancient History at The University of Birmingham, she decided to pursue a career in art, with a focus on developing her own unique style that would combine her interests: animals, humour, eccentricity, bold colours and energy.
Visiting art museums is a favourite past time of hers. She appreciates the vast array of painting styles, composition and subject matter and favours the eccentric and unusual. Being an animal-lover, she is drawn to artwork depicting animals.
Aaminah’s artwork revolves exclusively around British wildlife, farm animals and pets. Working on watercolour paper using acrylic paints, Aaminah paints quickly using lively and spontaneous brushstrokes with bold, vibrant colours to impress the quirkiness, movement and character of her subjects into the painting. She completes each painting with its own witty and fun title.
Her love of all animals started at a very young age. She was always keen to rescue animals, whether injured ones or just moving snails off the pavement so they didn’t get trampled. Her fondness for animals has persevered up to this day, for she continues to rescue animals and regularly donates a percentage of her profits to animal charities, notably The Wildlife Haven in Thirsk, North Yorkshire.
