Welcome People Back into Your Home this Christmas

We were all very disappointed last year when Christmas was cancelled for us all at the final hour.

Thankfully, 2021 has seen the UK start to take a few tentative steps out of lockdown and into the world again.

Whilst we certainly have a long way to go before we get back to 'normality', we can take some consolation in being able to spend time with friends and family once more.

This holiday season (for now, at least) we are able to throw open the doors of our homes and welcome our nearest and dearest in to enjoy the festivities...so now's the time to make sure your space looks the part.

At this time of year lots of beautiful National Trust properties dress their palatial rooms in themes of Christmas' past...and they're great places to visit to immerse yourself in the festive spirit and take home a few ideas to apply to your own Christmas décor.

This year Anglesey Abbey in Cambridge will be presenting a spectacular illuminated winter trail, as well as decorating the ground floor of the house in a theme they call Tinsel & Tweed , “inspired by the life of Lord Fairhaven and his staff in the 1960s”.

We have a gorgeous Sahco designer cushion, Bordino, in our Interiors showroom, which pairs a luxuriously sequin-embroidered front panel with classic woven wool reverse in a plum colourway that would fit perfectly in this theme.

Décor trends this Autumn and Winter have taken inspiration from nature. So why not include pieces with natural themes and materials to create a warm welcome for guests?

On our Interiors website you will find a wide range of real leather accessories and gifts, as well as solid wood furniture and nature-inspired finishing touches.
Try combining sparkle and glitz with rustic charm for an inviting and eye-catching holiday look.

Our beautiful Bronze Copper Nesting Coffee Tables, with their mirrored warm metallic speckled tops, and Frosted Tray, with it's cool shimmering surface, are great for adding a bit of sparkle, as well as some useful extra space for drinks and canapés.

Create an inviting ambiance with lighting. We have lots of options, from floor and table lamps to wonderfully fragranced candles. A few carefully placed candles in a darkened room will create a festive glow and enhance your home's atmosphere.

Keep celebratory drinks nicely chilled with one of our stunning leather and nickel ice buckets. The hand crafted natural materials each vary in colour and texture making them uniquely charming and characterful additions to your scheme.

After hours of mingling, create a cosy area for your guests to retreat to with comfy cushions and sumptuously soft faux fur throws, like the plush Helen Moore Aspen Throw, crafted from her signature high quality faux fur and lined with baby-smooth faux suede.

A dazzling piece of wall art is a great way to complement your Christmas scheme, and Guy Allen's gold leaf embellished limited edition prints are ideal. With their timeless nature-inspired subjects depicted in a classic 'etching' style and paired with a glimmer of gold, they are bound to brighten any wall.

Now that you have a few ideas for glamourising your home, remember art and home accessories make great gifts too! We have smaller items on our Interiors website, perfect for stocking fillers, as well as wonderfully extravagant extra-special home gifts. For art gifts, visit us in Fordingbridge or head over to our
online gallery.

As well as plenty of sculpture and wall art to choose from, we sell gift vouchers. And if you'd like to buy a gift voucher with a specific or unique value we will be pleased to create a bespoke voucher for you (minimum value of £10). We can even add the name of the recipient to personalise your gift if you wish.
