New Forest and Fordingbridge Shopping

Fordingbridge and the New Forest is a wonderful place to visit at Christmas, with an array of independent shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, in which you can choose your gifts and enjoy a post shopping takeaway.

Even though the annual Christmas Lights Switch On event did not go ahead this year due to lockdown and social distancing restrictions, Fordingbridge Town Council has still provided Christmas lighting for the pretty riverside Town which was illuminated on November 14, providing “a resplendent and festive display”.

In further efforts to “Keep the Heart Beating in Fordingbridge”, FREE parking will also be available in the Town's Council Car Park on 5, 12, 13, 19 and 20 December.

Why not take advantage of the fantastic gifts on offer at our local businesses – from toys at All the Cool Stuff, jewellery and clothing from Timothy's and Jessica, books at Fordingbridge Bookshop, handcrafted gifts from Alderbridge Artisans, The Butler Tray, and The Shop in the Courtyard, to food gifts and festive supplies from The Gourmet Grocer and Hockey's Farm Shop.

At Fordingbridge you’ll also find the Collier & Dobson gallery, where we can't wait to welcome you and show you our range of original artwork, limited edition prints, sculpture and beautiful home accessories and gifts, all of which would make truly marvelous Christmas presents.
