Meet the Artist - Joe Ramm

We have just launched a fantastic new range of limited edition prints featuring Joe Ramm's trademark dusky landscapes, nostalgic cityscapes, and sweeping coastal views.

Joe is a master of painting scenes steeped in charm and romanticism. Let's paint a picture of the artist herself!

As is evident in her striking compositions, wild landscapes are a great source of inspiration to her, and her environment is constantly rousing ideas for her latest creations.

Her connections with the West Country, and spending much time walking along the South Coast with her “wee border terrier, Tinker”, clearly provide great creative influence for her work. Her depictions of rolling fields, murmuration-filled skies are both gloriously rustic and dreamlike in appearance.

Before working as an editorial freelance Illustrator in London for 10 years, Joe studied Illustration at the Harrow School of Art.

Later, she moved to Brighton – where she lives still – establishing her own unequivocal style in her studio at the end of her garden.

The influence of the blustery Brighton seafront is overwhelmingly and lovingly evident in pieces such as The Old Pier.

Her ethereal and characterful scenes, artfully scratched onto wood, have proved to be a very popular addition to the Collier & Dobson portfolio.

Joe has enjoyed much success in the art world, exhibiting at various shows, like her local Brighton Art Fair and Brighton Open House Festival, and Battersea Contemporary Art Fair; as well as gallery events, including AOI Gallery, the Medici Gallery and The IO Gallery.

If you love the Great British Countryside, and long windswept walks across the cliffs, you won't fail to be captivated by Joe's beautiful collection of limited edition prints.
