It's that time of year again, when we would normally be out celebrating and enjoying festive food with friends and family in bars and restaurants...
...but with lockdown restrictions looking set to remain in place in the run up to Christmas, it may not be possible to treat ourselves with the usual meals out this year.
Thankfully, many pubs and restaurants are happy to offer takeaways instead, so that we can still enjoy a little Christmas cheer in the safety of our own homes.
Earlier this year, local Pub and Restaurant 'The George' pulled out all the stops and built a number of heated outdoor 'Gastro Pods’ – individual self contained huts where people can dine in comfort whilst social distancing. Whilst the current restrictions has lead to their temporary closure the George hopes to reopen soon and offer takeaways to locals.

Other local pubs currently operating and offering takeaway include The Cartwheel Inn (Whitsbury), and The Horse and Groom (Woodgreen).
Whilst many other retailers are currently unable to open to the public, some are still offering delivery and ‘click and collect' services,so do contact your favourite Fordingbridge shops for your Christmas shopping.
