Just One Step at a Time

Limited to 150 fine art limited edition prints + 15 artist proofs, 'Just One Step at a Time' is available block mounted or block mounted and framed. 

Printed on 400gsm fine art canvas, each print is bonded to 3.5mm board and varnished. This is called block mounting. Each print is numbered, and individually signed by Sam and supplied with a certificate of authenticity.  

The framed print is then framed in a 4cm x 4cm square profile whitewashed oak effect moulding which is slipped with a painted off-white moulding. The off-white section in between the the frame and the image is the slip. As the canvas is varnished, this print is not glazed. Supplied strung and ready to hang.

Individually numbered, and hand signed by Sam and supplied with a certificate of authenticity.

Sam Toft's narrative paintings are quirky, fun and beautifully composed. Born in June 1964 Sam's earliest ambition amongst others was to work in a post office; luckily for art lovers, after inspired tutelage at Liverpool Community College, Sam decided to "give it a go" with her pictures.

Sam has created an exclusive collection featuring her now infamous characters, "The Mustard's", Ernest Hemingway Mustard and his dear lady wife Violet along with their much loved eccentric friends and pets. Using mixed media, pencil, oil pastels, coloured inks and her own idiomatic techniques, Sam depicts a seaside world of faded ice-cream colours where the breeze is always blowing and life is utterly delicious.
