Ilse renews her artistic process constantly.
Influenced by the atmosphere and elements of the various countries she frequently visits, she frequently adds new elements, like natural pigments, sand, gold, silver, glass and even pieces of animal skin to her work.
Ilse constantly tries to find a new and delicate balance by searching for a new synthesis of matter and spirit. Decay and fragility is a great inspiration for Ilse which is conveyed by a release of raw pure energy, a wave of emotion, right onto the canvas, creating a vast body of work which is layered, spiritual and poetic.
