Robin Eckardt
Robin Eckardt was born on the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico where she spent the first ten years of her life. Robin Eckardt's vibrant childhood strongly influenced her outlook on the world, particularly in her depiction of colour & texture ... both important aspects of her paintings today. Since a young age Robin has always had a passion for art. In her various studies, as Eckardt has become more serious, she has had the freedom to develop and experiment with painting techniques.
Eckardt's style lends itself to quite large canvasses as this allows her to fully explore the boundaries of her highly varied and colourful palette of materials. Robin Eckardt has always used mixed media in order to create work that is completely different and exciting yet aesthestically pleasing. Robin's work in an energetic and instinctive way which adds to the dynamics of the painting and her personal expression. Ultimately Robin aims to leave the viewer with a sense of emotion and experience.
