Wendy Warren

Wendy Warren is a wildlife artist who lives on the outskirts of Romsey, Hampshire. Happily married with two young children, a dog and two cats, her lifelong interest in painting and wildlife is fitted in around her busy family life.

Wendy's love for animals is the inspiration for her work and there is nothing she finds more compelling or challenging than trying to capture the intricate details of facial expression, fur direction and bone structure in a variety of different animals. Her interests lie in both International and British wildlife and also horses.

Having previously worked only in watercolour Wendy now works primarily in pastels and pastel pencils. These are a relatively new discovery for her but she has found that the vibrancy of colours and the wonderful textures of not only the pastels but also the velour paper she prefers to use lend themselves perfectly to the depiction of fur.
