Luigi Benzoni
Luigi Benzoni is a Venetian Art Designer with a background in Oil Painting. His contemporary sculptured glass vessels are unique. To execute the design of his work in glass often requires three glass blowers in Murano that coordinate skill and muscle power to manage the intricate techniques needed in the creation of large and heavy pieces of Massive Glass.
The human figure is obsessively present in Benzoni's work, particularly the anxious and restless face of a man who seems to have lost the notion of his own being. The unique encounter of the Murano glass and its Maestri adds three-dimensional depth and transparency to his figures & faces, which become even more enigmatic and beautiful in this medium.
Since 1974 Luigi Benzoni has presented his work in his own studio and in various public and private galleries, in Italy and abroad.
