Toby Winteringham
From a barn on the outskirts of King's Lynn, in Norfolk, Toby Winteringham and his small team of dedicated craftsmen design and create pieces of beautiful furniture that are in demand from all over the country. Everything from a tray to a boardroom table all benefit from the attention to detail that more than twenty three years in the business brings. Specialising in hand cut marquetry, veneering and fine cabinetwork the workshop handles all aspects of furniture production from concept to finished article.
Toby Winteringham trained at London's Royal College of Art and set up his workshop in King's Lynn with the aid of the Crafts Council Grant. After several years Winteringham's work was accepted onto the Crafts Council's index of selected makers. He has exhibited widely and shown work in New York, Milan, Dusseldorf, Munich and Dudai. He holds two Guildmark Certificates awarded by the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers for design and craft excellence.
Toby Winteringham has served on Crafts Council Commitees and is a member of the Suffolk Crafts Society and Society of Design Craftsmen. A keen motorcyclist and tenor sax player Toby's interests are wide and varied.
